OK, here they are the way you expected to see them. That’s Wasco above, tucked into the beautiful looking Cateran Bay. It’s blowing about 25, gusting higher, and a bit rolly. Oh well, looks good in pictures.
Below, that’s me at Whitehaven Beach. I’m all alone. Not even another set of footprints in the sand! This is how they do it for the tourist brochures 🙂 It’s all about pointing the camera in exactly the right direction, making the right selection of lens, and of course working with your depth of field. If we’d turned around and showed you a view from the other direction….
And this is how we dressed most of the time in the Whitsundays. It’s winter here, we know that, but we’re in the tropics after all. Here’s Erika getting ready to come up for a watch in the middle of the day.
We don’t have a lot of pictures of the Whitsundays because, well, the weather just wasn’t very nice while we were there (you know the old story – “we’ve never seen weather like this, very unusual”). We did do a fair number of walks/hikes, and spent a lot of time on the beaches, but the rain made pulling out the camera a bit dicey so it spent most of its time in the dry bag.
We still made the most of the beaches even if the weather wasn’t perfect.
